These Terms govern your use of CleverTailor. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

CleverTailor is operated by Sarvesh Muralitharan, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact: support@clevertailor.com.

What CleverTailor does

CleverTailor is a tool that uses AI to analyse CVs against job descriptions, generate tailored CV versions, and recommend hands-on projects to close skill gaps. The cybersecurity-specific framing is intentional: outputs are calibrated for cyber roles.

Your account

You need an account to use CleverTailor. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when you sign up.

You must be at least 16 years old to use CleverTailor.

What you can do with the service

You can use CleverTailor to:

Analyse your own CV against job descriptions.
Generate AI-tailored CVs for your own use.
Generate project tutorials for your own learning.

You may NOT use CleverTailor to:

Analyse or tailor someone else's CV without their permission.
Reverse-engineer the service or extract our prompts/AI outputs at scale.
Resell our outputs as a CV-writing service.
Submit content that's illegal, abusive, or violates someone's rights.
Use automated tools to scrape or overload the service.

Pricing and payment

CleverTailor offers a free tier (2 matches per month) and a Pro tier ($19.99/month).

Pro subscriptions:

Are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
Renew automatically until cancelled.
Can be cancelled anytime via the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Are non-refundable for partial months.

We may change pricing in the future. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice before any price increase affects you.

What you own and what we own

Your content (CVs, job descriptions, anything you upload): you own it. By uploading, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service to you.

AI-generated outputs (tailored CVs, project recommendations, tutorials): you own the output we generate for you and can use it however you like, including commercially.

The CleverTailor brand, code, and product are owned by us. You can't copy, modify, or redistribute them.

AI outputs come with caveats

CleverTailor's outputs are AI-generated. We make every effort to make them accurate, helpful, and ATS-optimised. But:

AI can make mistakes. Always review the output before submitting any CV or applying for any role.
Project recommendations and tutorials reflect AI judgement, not guaranteed outcomes. Whether you land a role depends on many factors outside the CV.
Match scores are advisory, not predictive. A high score doesn't guarantee an interview.
We don't promise the AI output is bias-free, complete, or factually correct in every case.

You're responsible for what you submit using CleverTailor's outputs.

Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee it. The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to us. We'll give you reasonable notice except in cases of serious breach.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We're not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (e.g. lost job opportunities, lost income, lost time).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for things that can't be limited under UK law (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud).

Privacy

How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
